During the pandemic lockdown our Optical Centre practices were selected by the Local Health Boards and Welsh Government to remain operational for Emergency & Essential Eye Care. As highly qualified front-line Health Care Professionals, our Optometrists worked to ensure the needs of our patients and those in the wider community were provided for throughout the COVID-19 restrictions. We quickly adapted our working processes and procedures to ensure we operated in a safe and secure environment for all our staff and patients.

With lockdown measures easing and following approval from the Government, we can now extend our services and resume routine Eye Care. The new safeguarding procedures will remain in place until Public Health Wales & our Professional Optical Associations deem it’s no longer needed. This will mean, to our regular patients, that the way we operate may be a little different. If you haven’t watched the animation above, now is a good time as will explain the ‘New Normal’ safeguarding procedures we have in place.
